Semiconductor Equipment Technician
Type: Full time
Location: Dublin
We are seeking a skilled Semiconductor Equipment Technician to
support equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in a
high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will
ensure maximum equipment uptime, process stability, and compliance with quality
and safety standards.

- Perform preventive, corrective, and
reactive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment (e.g.
Photolithography, etch, deposition, diffusion, metrology tools).
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical,
pneumatic, and vacuum system issues at module and system level.
- Support equipment installation,
upgrades, and retrofits in collaboration with engineering teams and
OEM vendors.
- Use SPC (Statistical Process Control)
data and diagnostic tools to monitor equipment health and improve
performance.
- Minimize equipment downtime through
rapid fault isolation and repair.
- Calibrate and maintain robotics, wafer
handlers, motion controls, and aligners.
- Document maintenance activities in the CMMS
system and follow escalation procedures.
- Collaborate with process engineers to drive yield improvements and optimize equipment capability.
- Maintain compliance with ISO, safety
(LOTO), clean room, and EHS procedures.
- Play an active role in continuous
improvement, root cause analysis, and 5S/Lean initiatives.
- Provide shift handovers and
support a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Requirements
Essential
- 2–5+ years’ experience in semiconductor
or high-tech manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical/mechanical/pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with vacuum systems, RF
generators, PLCs, robotics, motion controls, and gas delivery systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical
schematics.
- Experience working in a clean-room
environment.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and hands-on technical ability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork
skills.
Preferred
- Experience with one or more toolsets: LAM,
AMAT, TEL, KLA, ASML, Nikon, Axcelis.
- Knowledge of SPC, FDC, 8D, Six Sigma
or Lean methodologies.
- Semiconductor process flow knowledge
(etch, deposition, CMP, lithography, diffusion).
- OEM/vendor training or certification a
plus.
Education
- Diploma or higher in Mechanical,
Electrical, Mechatronic, Electronics Engineering, or related
technical discipline.
- Apprenticeship or military technical
training also considered.
